This highly decorative Louis XVI style wall mirror is hand carved with astonishingly detailed motifs, and beautifully finished in a muted grey lacquer. It is crowned with an ornate pediment that takes the form of a wide vase, from which cascade garlands of wild roses on either side. A carved pineapple finial tops each shoulder, with more carvings in the form of faux tassels and olive leaves flanking each side. Dating from the 19th century, this mirror is brimming with character, and has developed a wonderful authentic patina over its long life.
