An exquisite violin-shaped Régence style wall mirror in hand-carved and gilded wood, with a beautiful stylised shell at its crest and swirling acanthus scrolls cascading down each shoulder, and at its base. Echoing the exuberant styling of the 18th century, this is a fabulous 19th century reincarnation, complete with an authentic maker's mark on its reverse. The gilt finish is nicely aged, adding plenty of character. A spectacular addition to any interior, and a real statement piece.
