An absolutely charming 19th century French writing desk, crafted from walnut and featuring exquisitely baluster turned and tapering legs, and a beautifully curved X-form stretcher with central urn finial. This petite desk has a polished, rectangular top panel with a decorative ogee edge, above a single, wide frieze drawer adorned with a gilt bronze handle. The highly polished wood has a wonderfully aged patina, which particularly emphasises the grain of the walnut. The table is perfectly sized to suit just about any room from a hallway to a bedroom.
