Description :

A wonderful gilt-bronze mounted pedestal, hand carved from beautiful grey-veined marble, and ideal for the display of a large and valued indoor plant or piece of sculpture. This decorative column features a square tray with chamfered corners resting on a gilt-bronze capital, embellished with an acanthus motif around its shaped sides. At the base of the shaft, a matching gilt-bronze base sits atop a substantial stepped square marble plinth, which provides excellent stability. Please note some small imperfections to the bronze at the base, as well as a small chip in the tray. Dating from around 1900.
