Description :

A graceful French wall-mounted console in the Louis XV revival taste, crafted in solid walnut with a warm, lively grain and a mellow patina. The shaped apron is carved with a central oval cartouche and soft scallops, flowing into paired, scrolling supports joined by a petite arched stretcher. The top is an elegant white-grey veined marble—very close to Carrara—profiled with a molded edge that echoes the serpentine outline below.

The walnut presents deeper and richer in person than in the photos, and the fine gilded piping you see along certain lines appears to be later decorative accents, thoughtfully added to emphasize the carving without reading as full gilding. The overall silhouette, carving language and construction details point to the late 19th century (Belle Époque), circa 1880–1900, when French ateliers revisited rococo forms with lighter proportions suited to townhouse interiors.

A refined entry or hall piece that sits visually light yet offers real presence. Wear, small marks to the marble and scattered touch-ups consistent with age and use; structurally sound and ready to wall-mount.
