Description :

An absolutely stunning pair of late 19th century Louis XVI style two-light candelabras in Sèvres- style porcelain and gilt bronze ormolu. These magnificent candle holders feature pear-shaped porcelain lower sections, hand painted with polychrome flowers on a 'celestial blue' and white background. Just above this, and from an elegantly knopped stem, rise two curved gilt bronze 'branches' and 'flower bud' drip pans, all swathed in finely detailed foliage and flowers. The base is heavy for stability, and features string of pearl and laurel motifs, as well as openwork cartouche feet.

Please note that there is some wear to the gilding in places and a slight difference in size.
