An impressive pair of Louis XVI-style candlesticks in ornately chased and gilded bronze, and dating from the 19th century. Resting on heavy circular bases which are encircled by stylised pearl and foliage motifs, the columnar shafts are tapered and fluted, and are draped around their upper portion with laurel garlands, finely chiselled and full of detail. Above, the sconces echo the same motifs as the base, with string-of-pearls and foliage encircling their curves. Please note, there is a small imperfection on one base.
