A fine pair of 19th-century 'gun barrel' candlesticks in gilt bronze, in a simple but elegant design. Standing around 10cm high, each of these petite candle holders rests on a spreading circular base, which has been embellished with a crisp and simple design of 'palmettes' and tiny 'pearl' edging. These motifs are echoed on the knop, stem and sconce, which is removable to allow for ease of cleaning. In excellent vintage condition with very light surface wear.
