A delightful set of 12 matching vintage silver-plated oyster forks made by renowned French silversmiths Ercuis (founded in 1867) and presented in their original case. Crafted in a Louis XVI style, these forks are each embellished with a beautifully detailed acanthus leaf pattern on each side of their handle ends, which merge elegantly into a simple reeded stem. Slightly wider than a regular fork, an oyster fork is short and curved, with three tines, and is designed to fit inside the oyster shell to pull out the delicious meat. Although originally designed for oysters and seafood, these petite little forks would also be perfect for olives, appetizers or even for cakes and dessert. However you choose to use them, they would make a great addition to your dining table, and would add a wonderful vintage French touch to your next dinner party. They are in beautiful vintage condition, with some minimal signs of use.
