A pair of elegant Louis XV-style caned 'Fauteuils' featuring beautifully moulded and shaped walnut frames, and delicately woven cane rattan panels on the seat and gently contoured back rests. The chairs, which date from the early 20th century, are each raised on four gracefully curved cabriole legs ending in scroll feet, and feature whiplash' style armrests and ornately shaped aprons. The chairs have a delightfully light and airy quality to them, and they would be the perfect addition to a formal or casual setting.
