An elegantly presented case of twelve silver-gilt, or vermeil, tea or coffee spoons, distinctively shaped with pointed bowl tips and elaborately shaped handle ends engraved with scrolled foliage designs. These gorgeous late 19th-century sterling silver spoons bear the 'Minerva 2nd Titre' hallmark, meaning they are of at least 80% silver purity and are in fantastic antique condition. The green leather and gilt presentation case is original, with working hinges and clasp, and is lined with soft mustard-coloured silk, which is still vibrant in colour and stamped with the maker's mark of 'A Gaudin, 44 Rue de Rome, Marseille'. A fabulous and very stylish accessory to make your afternoon tea extra special.
